Regulatory

Railroads provide the safest and most efficient means of transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials important to our society and our economy. In fact, today more than 99.998% of hazardous materials arrive at their destination without a release caused by an accident. This outstanding track record is due to the collective efforts of car manufacturers, component suppliers, owners, railroads, shippers and other partners.

As the industry strives to continually improve its safety record, there are Association of American Railroad (AAR) initiatives, regulatory change and other industry developments that we need to be aware of. At Procor, we aim to keep shippers informed of important developments with respect to rail cars and the rail industry. Below are recent rulemaking developments related to tank car use in Canada.
